For many years I have taught every summer at The Maine Jazz Camp. It's a great scene but the cafeteria food is exceptionally bad, even by institutional standards. Every year we all complain about it. My wife, who thinks I'm prone to exaggeration, didn't believe that it was as bad as all that so one year I sent her pictures of every meal. After a few days she sent me a text that became the title of this composition. Mr. H. is her euphemism for a hemorrhoid. I wrote it for my ensemble to perform that week.
