For over twenty years bassist/composer Matt Pavolka has been a vital force in the New York Jazz and Creative Music scenes. In addition to his extensive work as a sideman he leads three ensembles of his own: The Matt Pavolka Band with Ben Monder, Pete Rende and Ted Poor, The Horns Band with Kirk Knuffke, Loren Stillman, Jacob Garchik and Mark Ferber and Pavogüchi, his duo with Masa Kamaguchi.
